Camera class- lesson #1

I took a camera class in July to learn about my camera and I thought I'd post a little about each lesson....

In the first lesson we learned about the basic functions of the camera, about the different modes the camera can shoot in and how to read the exposure. The assignment was to take a picture of light tones (which the camera is 'fooled' into underexposing the shot), then adjust the exposure manually. I used a sand dollar as my subject.

The first shot is taken using the exposure set by the camera.

The second shot was adjusted to increase the exposure level, rendering the tones correctly.
